Terrifying Eyewitness Accounts: Survivors Reveal Horrors of Moscow Concert Hall Massacre!

Survivors of a tragic massacre at a Moscow concert hall, where at least 115 people lost their lives, have shared chilling accounts of the attackers' ruthless actions.

The incident unfolded at Crocus City Hall, located about 10 miles north of Moscow's center, where armed individuals opened fire.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack, a claim deemed credible by the U.S. government. As of midday Saturday local time, there had been no public statement from Vladimir Putin regarding the tragedy.

Newsweek has reached out to Russia's Investigative Committee for comment.

Images purportedly showing the suspects and the weapons used in the mass shooting have circulated on social media.

Among the victims, three children are reported to have lost their lives, and the death toll is feared to rise.

Survivors, interviewed by the Telegram channel VChK-OGPU, which claims ties to Russia's security services, recounted terrifying moments. One woman, recuperating in a hospital bed, described how the attackers entered and began shooting.

"I dropped to the ground and pretended to be dead.

The girl next to me had been killed," she recounted.

Another survivor spoke of being shot at from behind, with those near the glass doors falling first. She narrated how her husband was wounded by gunshots.

She also recalled seeing two men speaking in a foreign language, one of whom fired indiscriminately at people nearby, leading them to pray for their safety.

Another survivor recounted how she and her friends sought refuge in a corner at the entrance as a man approached and opened fire.

She described the attackers as having black hair and shouting to each other in an unfamiliar language.

Reports from Russian news agencies indicate that 11 individuals, including four directly involved in the attack, have been taken into custody.

The suspects, reportedly from Tajikistan, were named and pictured on Russian Telegram channels.

The Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan has refuted reports of its citizens' involvement, stating it has not received official confirmation from Russian authorities.

Preliminary information suggests the suspects were apprehended after their Renault car overturned while attempting to evade police in the Bryansk region.

One suspect was detained on the spot, another was arrested later, while the search for the remaining suspects is ongoing.

A pistol, a magazine for an AKM assault rifle, and Tajikistan passports were found in the car, according to Alexander Khinshtein, a Russian Duma Deputy.

In a separate development, the U.S. embassy in Moscow had issued a warning on March 7 about potential extremist plans to target large gatherings, advising against attending crowded events in Russia.

Putin dismissed this warning as "Western blackmail."
