Shocking Twist: Utah Woman Accused of Poisoning Husband Now Faces Even More Gruesome Charges!

A Utah woman, Kouri Richins, initially charged with the murder of her husband, Eric Richins, through fentanyl poisoning, now confronts additional charges, including attempted aggravated murder. Prosecutors assert that she poisoned him a month before his demise.

Prior to her arrest, Kouri appeared on a television segment, asserting that Eric's death was unexpected.

Per prosecutors, Eric was poisoned on Valentine's Day and subsequently succumbed to a lethal fentanyl dose.

He experienced an allergic reaction after consuming a sandwich that Kouri had purchased for him. Eric suspected foul play and later passed away from fentanyl intoxication.

Despite the allegations, Kouri maintains her innocence.

Prosecutors allege that Kouri procured illicit fentanyl prior to these incidents. She is now charged with forgery, insurance fraud, and mortgage fraud, purportedly forging Eric's signature on an insurance application and submitting falsified bank statements for mortgage applications.

Kouri was facing financial difficulties at the time, owing over $1.8 million to hard money lenders. Additionally, she was the beneficiary of multiple insurance policies on Eric's life.
