SHOCKING: Malaysian Store Owners Charged for 'Allah' Socks! Outrage Explodes Online

Here is a revised version of the content:

The founders of a popular Malaysian convenience store chain, KK Mart, and one of its suppliers have been charged with causing offense to Muslim sentiments by selling socks featuring the word “Allah.” Chai Kee Kan and Loh Siew Mui, the founders of KK Mart, pleaded not guilty, attributing the incident to the actions of the supplier.

The use of “Allah” on socks was deemed disrespectful, particularly because of its association with feet, which many found offensive.

The supplier, Xin Jian Chang, apologized for the oversight, stating that the socks were imported from China as part of a large shipment and that they were careless in their inspection.

If found guilty, all five defendants could face up to a year in jail, a fine, or both.

KK Mart, known for its 24-hour convenience stores with 810 outlets in Malaysia and additional locations in Nepal and India, claimed that the offending socks were placed on its shelves by Xin Jian Chang, which rented space in its outlets.

Despite this explanation, a political party in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's coalition called for a boycott of KK Mart, and Malaysia's new king, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, demanded stern action, warning of potential disruptions to racial harmony.

Additionally, two individuals were charged for making insensitive comments online regarding the issue. KK Mart has also reportedly canceled a planned listing on the Malaysian stock exchange due to the crisis.
