Historic Night in NYC: Biden, Obama, and Clinton's Star-Studded Fundraiser Shakes Radio City Music Hall!

President Joe Biden was joined on Thursday by two of his Democratic predecessors for a star-studded fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall, which his campaign reported raised over $25 million.

The event in New York featured former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, along with more than 5,000 supporters in attendance.

However, several protesters interrupted the program while the three presidents were speaking.

Actor and comedian Mindy Kaling hosted the event, which concluded around 10 p.m., with late-night host Stephen Colbert moderating a conversation with Biden, Clinton, and Obama. Special guests included celebrities like Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, and Lea Michele.

During the hour-long conversation, Colbert humorously noted the historic nature of the moment, quipping that "three presidents have come to New York, and not one of them to appear in court," taking a jab at former President Donald Trump's legal issues.

Clinton also took a swipe at Trump, suggesting that "Trump had a good couple of years because he stole them from Barack Obama."

The discussion was interrupted at least five times by protesters, prompting responses from the speakers. Colbert acknowledged one protester and asked Biden about the U.S. role in ensuring peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Biden emphasized the need for progress towards a two-state solution.

Obama addressed a protester, emphasizing the importance of listening in a democracy.

He stated, "Part of democracy is not just talking. It’s listening."

The crowd responded with applause.

Biden’s team has taken measures to minimize disruptions after a previous speech where he was interrupted several times by pro-Palestinian protesters. Outside the venue, more than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered, criticizing Biden's handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Inside Radio City Music Hall, attendees marveled at having three presidents in the same room. Ticket prices started at $250, with some donors contributing up to half a million dollars. First lady Jill Biden called the event “the fundraiser to end all fundraisers.”

The fundraiser marked the culmination of a day of mobilization efforts, including interviews and discussions with the presidents.

The event showcased unity among Biden, Clinton, and Obama, contrasting with Trump, who faces opposition even within his own party.

Biden and Trump are currently polling closely, with economic issues being a key factor. During the discussion, Colbert asked Clinton about addressing voters' concerns about the economy.

Clinton highlighted the impact of the 2008 recession and Covid, stating that Biden and Harris have worked to rebuild the economy.

The event concluded with Biden, Clinton, and Obama arriving at Radio City Music Hall together, symbolizing their unity ahead of the upcoming election.
