The latest Powerball drawing, boasting a staggering $800 million jackpot, concluded on Monday night without any winners, making it one of the largest jackpots in the history of the U.S. lottery game.

The Multi-State Lottery Association confirmed that no ticket matched the six winning numbers from the draw: 19-7-68-53-11-23.

The upcoming Powerball drawing, set for Wednesday, will see the estimated jackpot rise to $865 million. Should the winner opt for a lump sum, the prize would amount to around $416 million in cash, as per lottery officials.

This past Monday's drawing marked the 36th since the last Powerball jackpot winner on New Year's Day 2024. For those still feeling hopeful, the Mega Millions jackpot offers a chance to win $1.1 billion in the upcoming drawing on Tuesday.

The Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for 11 p.m. EDT on Tuesday (0300 GMT on Wednesday), with the jackpot last won on Dec. 8.

Tickets for both lotteries are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Despite the combined jackpot of $1.9 billion for Monday and Tuesday being substantial, it falls short of the largest single lottery prize in U.S. history, which was $2.04 billion, won by a single ticket holder in California in November 2022. To win either lottery, players must match the correct six numbers on a $2 ticket.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are approximately one in 292.2 million, while the odds of winning the Mega Millions are approximately one in 302.6 million.
