Ervin Lee Bolling is currently facing charges for the destruction of government property but has not yet entered a plea. According to an FBI affidavit, after crashing his car, Bolling attempted to bypass a gate, where he was stopped by three special agents.
Despite being instructed to sit on the curb, Bolling refused and resisted arrest when the agents tried to detain him.
A report from Advance Democracy, seen by NBC News, identified social media accounts allegedly linked to Bolling that frequently promoted conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election. Additionally, a Telegram account using the name "Lee Bolling" and a handle similar to those on other platforms was found to be a member of nine public Telegram groups, some of which were related to QAnon, according to the same report.
The court docket does not indicate that Bolling has legal representation. When contacted by regarding Bolling's alleged beliefs in QAnon, his wife declined to comment.

Daniel J. Jones, the president of Advance Democracy, emphasized the importance of taking seriously the increasing violent rhetoric and actions in society.
He called on elected officials, particularly Republicans, to denounce such actions.
Regarding Bolling's incident, Jones stated, "We don’t yet know the individual’s motivation for using his vehicle to crash into a gate at the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office."
However, he highlighted a concerning trend of individuals supporting Trump and promoting anti-government rhetoric and conspiracy theories, sometimes leading to violent actions against public officials.
According to the Department of Justice, over 1,265 defendants have been charged in connection with the events of January 6.
Former President Trump himself faces charges including conspiracy to defraud the United States, obstruction, and conspiracy against the right to vote in connection to his actions following the 2020 election results.
He has pleaded not guilty, and his trial is ongoing.
