Terrifying Tale: Family Trapped in Taiwan Earthquake Horror!

In HUALIEN, Taiwan, rescue teams are scouring the area for a family of five who are feared to be trapped in a rockslide following Taiwan's most powerful earthquake in 25 years, which has claimed at least 10 lives.

Two bodies have been discovered in Taroko National Park, renowned for its rugged, mountainous terrain in Hualien County, approximately 150 kilometers (90 miles) from Taipei. Additional victims have been located in the park, though their identities have not yet been confirmed.

The You family, bearing the surname You, had set out on a hike after visiting ancestral sites for traditional grave-sweeping observances.

Meanwhile, in Hualien city, efforts are underway to dismantle a five-story building that was severely tilted by Wednesday's 7.4 magnitude quake, which caused extensive damage to numerous buildings across the island. The earthquake triggered rockfalls and mudslides, obstructing roads, destroying vehicles, and injuring over 1,000 individuals.
