Former President Praises Hannibal Lecter and Slams Immigrants at Wildwood Rally!

At a political rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday, the former president praised the fictional serial killer Hannibal Lecter as "a wonderful man" from the movie Silence of the Lambs, before criticizing undocumented immigrants in the US. Speaking to a crowd of about 80,000 supporters, he used Lecter as a metaphor while condemning those entering the country without permission. The rally, held under the shadow of the Great White roller coaster, was part of the former president's campaign against Joe Biden's re-election.

The former president has previously expressed admiration for Lecter, echoing comments made by actor Mads Mikkelsen, who portrayed Lecter in a TV series. The event also saw the former president repeating false claims about being indicted more times than Al Capone, despite facing only four indictments related to attempts to overturn the 2020 election and other charges.

Despite the enthusiastic support from his followers, the former president faced criticism from New Jersey Democrats, who dismissed the rally's significance. Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill noted that many attendees were from out of state, while Congressman Andy Kim criticized the former president's divisive politics.
