Massive Proposal Unveiled: Webuild's Bold Plan to Reconstruct Collapsed Baltimore Bridge

Italian construction firm Webuild announced its proposal on Friday to rebuild Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed in March after a container ship collided with a support pillar.

The project involves designing and planning the reconstruction, which includes a cable-stayed bridge aimed at improving safety, adaptability, sustainability, and ensuring maximum safety for navigation, the company stated. "We at Webuild and our U.S. subsidiary Lane are ready to assist in quickly restoring this strategic bridge for local mobility," said Webuild CEO Pietro Salini in a letter to the U.S. transportation secretary, the governor of Maryland, and the director of the Maryland Port Administration.
