An investigation has been launched following the tragic death of a pregnant woman in her Los Angeles County home.
The woman, who was about six or seven months pregnant, was found with stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred in Palmdale, where Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to a welfare check call on Tuesday night. Upon arrival, deputies entered the victim's home after spotting what they believed to be blood on the living room floor.
The victim's identity has not been revealed pending notification of her family. Sheriff's Lt. Mike Gomez confirmed her age as 27. Gomez also stated that the investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made at this time.
