Tom Brady's debut as a color commentator for Fox Sports' NFL coverage has been confirmed. The seven-time Super Bowl champion will kick off his announcing career during the league's opening weekend on Sept. 8, when the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys. Brady and "Fox NFL Sunday" pregame analyst Michael Strahan made the announcement during Fox's media upfront presentation in New York City on May 13.
The game will air at 4:25 ET on Fox and the Fox Sports app, with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt as Brady's partner. Brady officially retired in 2023 after signing a reported 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox. He expressed excitement about his new role and the opportunity to cover the Cowboys, joking about the team's status as "America's Team."
Brady praised the Cowboys' storyline, including Dak Prescott's performance and Micah Parsons' skills. Despite his competitive history against them, Brady looks forward to highlighting their greatness. He believes his experience as a player will contribute to his success in the announcer's booth.
The 2024 NFL schedule will be unveiled on May 15, with the Baltimore Ravens visiting the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the season's first game, as exclusively revealed by TODAY on May 13.
