Hollywood Shock: Steve Buscemi Attacked in NYC Streets! What Really Happened?

A spokesperson representing the actor Steve Buscemi has confirmed that he was assaulted in New York City earlier this week.

The incident took place while Buscemi was taking a walk in the Kips Bay neighborhood of NYC on Wednesday. According to Buscemi's publicist, he was punched in the face by an unidentified individual.

Describing the incident, the representative stated, "Steve Buscemi was assaulted in midtown Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city. He is OK and appreciates everyone's well wishes, though incredibly sad for everyone that this has happened to while also walking the streets of New York."

The attacker fled the scene and has not been apprehended by authorities yet. Following the assault, Buscemi was taken to the hospital and treated for swelling to his face and left eye.

This incident occurred shortly after another actor from "Boardwalk Empire," Michael Stuhlbarg, was allegedly assaulted in New York City in late March. Police reported an assault in progress on March 31, involving a 55-year-old man who was walking near 90th Street and East Drive when he was struck in the head by an unknown object.

After an investigation, it was found that a 27-year-old man named Xavier Israel threw a rock at Stuhlbarg, hitting him in the back of the neck and causing an abrasion. Stuhlbarg then chased Israel to 9 East 91st Street, where police took him into custody. Stuhlbarg refused medical attention at the scene, and Israel was charged with assault.

The incident occurred before Stuhlbarg was scheduled to perform in the Broadway show "Patriots." Despite the assault, Stuhlbarg went ahead with his performance as planned on April 1.
