MESSI'S SHOCKING GESTURE: Donates 8th Ballon d'Or to Former Club! What's the Story Behind His Generosity?

Inter Miami and Argentina's football icon Lionel Messi reportedly made a meaningful gesture with his eighth Ballon d'Or award. Just months after receiving the award, Messi has reportedly donated his eighth Ballon d'Or to Barcelona. According to the Spanish journalist Miquel Blázquez, Messi allowed Barcelona to display the award in their museum.

Despite winning his last Ballon d'Or while playing for PSG and Inter Miami, Messi chose to let Barcelona showcase it alongside the seven Ballon d'Ors he won during his time at Camp Nou, which are already on display at the club's museum. Messi spent 21 memorable years at Barcelona, joining the club as a 13-year-old from Newell's old boys. He ultimately rose through the ranks to the first team, becoming one of the greatest players of all time.

Most of Messi's 57 individual honors were achieved during his time at Barcelona, where he spent most of his career. The Argentine international departed Spain in 2021 in a surprising turn of events, with Barcelona reportedly unable to register him in LaLiga due to severe financial issues at the club.
