"Republican Congressman Shocks Party: Calls Out GOP's Ukraine Funding Block!"

Representative Ken Buck, a Colorado Republican, expressed profound embarrassment and shame over his party's stance on withholding crucial funding for Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia. In an interview with CNN's Michael Smerconish on Saturday, Buck criticized the Republican Party's reluctance to provide essential support to Ukraine, characterizing it as a betrayal of shared values and a failure to recognize the threat posed by Russia.

As the two-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine approaches, Ukrainian forces continue to face challenges in defending against Russian aggression. Despite the Senate passing a $95.34 billion foreign aid package with $61 billion earmarked for Ukraine, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, has refused to bring the bill to the House floor, citing opposition to additional funding for Ukraine.

Buck emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine in its struggle against Russian invasion, criticizing the Republican Party for its failure to acknowledge the gravity of the situation and stand with Ukraine. He also expressed concerns about Russian disinformation campaigns and called for greater awareness of Russia's threat to European countries and allies.

President Joe Biden has urged the House to swiftly approve the foreign aid package, stressing the need to prevent a minority of voices from blocking the bill.
