The Powerball jackpot is on the rise once again.
After no ticket matched all five numbers and the bonus ball in Monday night's draw, the prize has now grown to an impressive $1.09 billion for the upcoming Wednesday draw.
Monday's winning numbers were 19, 24, 40, 42, 56, with the bonus ball being 23. Initially estimated at $483.3 million, the cash value for Monday's draw has since increased to $527.3 million.
There has been a string of 39 consecutive draws without a jackpot winner. The most recent win was on Jan. 1 when a ticket sold in Michigan scooped up an $842.4 million prize, according to the lottery officials.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, making it a challenging but enticing game for many hopeful players.
