Breaking: Russian Forces Exploit 'Artillery Drought,' Threatening Kyiv's Supply Lines

CNN recently reported that Russian forces have exploited an "artillery drought" affecting Ukrainian forces to advance on the eastern front near Avdiivka. This marks the largest Russian advancement since the early stages of the conflict.

The progress made by Moscow has raised concerns among senior Ukrainian military officials about the potential threat to Kyiv's supply lines and eastern hubs, which are now dangerously close to the reach of superior Russian firepower.

In recent weeks, Russia has allocated significant resources to attack weak Ukrainian defenses along the eastern front, aiming to capture three key areas: the crucial military hub of Pokrovsk, west of Avdiivka; the strategic heights of Chasiv Yar, near Bakhmut; and Kurakhove in the southeast.
