An American tourist in Russia was arrested for "disrupting public order" and held in custody for ten days, according to a Moscow court on Tuesday.
William Russell Nycum had been drinking with friends at a bar before allegedly entering a children's library in Moscow, as reported by REN TV, a local television station, on Monday.
The Moscow court stated that "in accordance with the protocol on an administrative offense, a U.S.
citizen consumed alcoholic beverages, then was found in the yard, naked, expressing obvious disrespect for society, citizens, and public order, leading to his detention by police officers."
Nycum reportedly began to undress after entering the library, according to the station. The TV station released a video purportedly showing Nycum near the library, as well as photos allegedly depicting his belongings inside the library, including one showing a broken window.
