His departure is part of a recent trend at Tesla, with at least seven executives leaving the company in the past month. While it's unclear if Zhu's departure is related to the recent layoffs at Tesla, he expressed positivity about his time at the company, highlighting their achievements in advancing sustainable energy and delivering high-quality products to customers.
Zhu, who worked at Tesla for over five years and played a key role in launching the Cybertruck program, is now looking forward to "start a new journey."
