Tesla Gigafactory Director Leaves After Cybertruck Triumph!

Renjie Zhu, the director of manufacturing engineering at Tesla's Austin Gigafactory, has announced his departure from the company. Zhu, who came to the US to help launch Tesla's Cybertruck, revealed his decision on LinkedIn, stating that his "adventure with this great company has come to an end" after the successful launch of the Cybertruck program.

His departure is part of a recent trend at Tesla, with at least seven executives leaving the company in the past month. While it's unclear if Zhu's departure is related to the recent layoffs at Tesla, he expressed positivity about his time at the company, highlighting their achievements in advancing sustainable energy and delivering high-quality products to customers.

Zhu, who worked at Tesla for over five years and played a key role in launching the Cybertruck program, is now looking forward to "start a new journey." Tesla, under the leadership of CEO Elon Musk, has been undergoing a series of layoffs, with workers currently facing their fifth straight week of layoff notices.
