A source close to singer Britney Spears has informed CNN that the pop star is now "home and safe" following a "major altercation" with her boyfriend on Wednesday night at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
Despite paramedics being called to the hotel, Spears departed with her security team, as per the source. Representatives for Spears did not respond to CNN's request for comment.
