Shocking Discovery: Frozen Infants Found in Boston Freezer!

Frozen infants were discovered in a freezer in a Boston apartment in 2022, according to an announcement by the Suffolk County District Attorney this week.

District Attorney Kevin Hayden described the investigation into the circumstances of this disturbing find on Nov. 17, 2022, as “one of the most complex, unusual, and perplexing cases that this office has ever faced.” Due to uncertainty about whether the four babies were born alive, criminal charges are not being pursued, Hayden stated in a Tuesday release.

The infants, two male and two female, were located in shoe boxes wrapped in foil and were frozen solid, according to the prosecutor’s office. DNA tests confirmed they were siblings.

Despite efforts, the medical examiner could not ascertain the cause of death or whether the babies were born alive, as there were no visible signs of trauma, the district attorney’s office reported. The father of the babies, confirmed through DNA testing, passed away in 2011.

The mother, currently in a healthcare facility, displayed confusion and a lack of understanding when questioned by investigators about her whereabouts and who she was speaking to, according to Hayden. The exact circumstances of the births and why the woman concealed her pregnancies may never be known.

Investigators determined that the woman had five children with the babies' father, and one of them was put up for adoption. The only birth record found was for the birth of one child, Hayden noted.
